started November 23, 1874 producing husking hooks and pegs, repairing firearms, sewing machines and mowers for the steady influx of settlers into the mid-west.
In 1997, F.D. Kees was purchased by Yazoo Power Equipment of Jackson, Mississippi creating Yazoo/Kees. Yazoo Power Equipment had an impressive history in its own right. The Yazoo High Wheel Mower started and built the company, and in 1959 they pioneered the first Out-Front rotary riding mower, the YR-60 or Yazoo Rider 60-inch.
Today, Yazoo/Kees manufactures commerical mowing equipment in a brand new facility in Beatrice, Nebraska and employs over 300 people.
Our parent company, Husqvarna Turf Care, has made a significant investment to ensure that we provide premium commercial equipment that lives up to the Husqvarna 300 year tradition of excellence while maintaining the local and historical attributes that make Yazoo/Kees unique.
